FAST RISING BUSINESSWOMAN RECIEVES MMU AWARD AND NAMED ‘ONE TO WATCH’

A legal expert who has seen her start-up business double in size over the past 12 months is set to receive a Business Achievement Award from Manchester Metropolitan University and has been named as on

Fiona McKay, Managing Director of Seminars & Solutions, set up her business – which advises employers on employment law issues - around 12 months ago and after a highly successful first year is now in line to receive a prestigious Innospace Business Achievement Award from Manchester Metropolitan University in recognition of her success.
It’s the first time the University has handed out an award of this type and Fiona is one of just three people set to receive one.
She said: “It’s a fantastic honour to receive this award from MMU and its great to be recognised for all the hard work which has gone on over the past 12 months – but this is just the start and I have every intention of growing the business further still over the next 12 months. It’s been a great boost to receive recognition from such a well-respected business school.”
Fiona is now set to receive her award at a special ceremony at The Bridgewater Hall on July 15.
Richard Deighton, Director of Innospace, MMU’s Start-Up Business Incubator, said: “Fiona has received the Innospace Business Achievement Award in recognition of her tremendous achievements over the past 12 months. She has done a fantastic job of growing her business, winning a number of prestigious clients and making some great contacts. Based on her success so far I would name her as one to watch going forwards.”
Innospace supports graduates in starting enterprises that will become profitable and sustainable businesses. It offers new businesses professional office space in Manchester City Centre – a place to meet clients and a Central Manchester address - as well as a vibrant network of other entrepreneurs and a low risk environment to trial a business venture.
