New North West Business Angels Programme

Innospace is home to a fresh initiative to help the region's high tech and innovative start-ups secure vital funding and expertise.

North West Super Angels is being launched by tenants Funding Enterprise, economic development and corporate finance specialists. The move follows recent additional tax incentives for individuals who invest in businesses under the Enterprise Investment Scheme.

Founder Malcolm Evans explains, “The U.S. and to a growing degree the UK’s South East enjoy large numbers of tech-savvy investors who have made money either with big corporates or with their own companies.

“This has created a revolving flow of funding and expertise for new projects – like a chocolate fountain of investment and growth knowledge, if you like. There is a need for a smoother and pan-regional mechanism for bringing everyone in the mix together.

The new platform for serious North West business angels, entrepreneurs, banks, and support bodies already has considerable expertise in IT/Tech and is currently seeking additional capacity in manufacturing, services and retail.
