New partnership initiative to help young graduate businesses get off to a flying start

Aspiring graduate entrepreneurs in the North West are set to receive a ‘leg up’ on to their chosen career ladder, thanks to a newly-created partnership in the region.

The tie-up, between Innospace, MMU’s business incubator for start-up businesses, and NCGE – the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurs, will help produce the ‘Alan Sugars of the future’, while boosting the whole North West economy.

From March 2010 graduates on the NCGE’s ‘flying start’ and ‘make it happen’ programmes will be offered office facilities at Innospace along with high quality business support, mentoring and encouragement. They will benefit from being in Innospace’s positive entrepreneurial environment, allowing them plenty of opportunity to network with other young businesses as well as having experienced business advisors always on hand to help.

As the economy’s long climb out of recession begins, MMU hopes this initiative will bolster economic activity in the North West, strengthen graduate employment prospects and create a strong platform for future growth in the region.

Innospace director, Richard Deighton said ‘At Innospace we are a hub for graduate enterprise. Working with the NCGE will help us to reach many more graduate entrepreneurs in the region, enabling them to benefit from our services and get their businesses off to the best possible start’.

Scott Woodhead, director of LovingOutdoors.com, a current Innospace entrepreneur said ‘My business has benefited so much from the invaluable support and advice at Innospace and the office is great for networking. Its excellent news that now, thanks to this new partnership, so many other young businesses will benefit from all Innospace has to offer.’
